SURVEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our project is off to a good start! A big part of our project is to educate the public on the drought. In order to do that, we decided to find out what the majority of people are doing to save water through an online survey, which you can take here!!! The only setback we've had so far is finding people to talk to about the drought. We've learned that it's hard to get information out there and to make sure that what we're doing is actually making a difference. Our next step is to find people to interview about the drought and what they think is the best way to fix it. We'll be asking people of all ages questions about the cause of the drought, the effects of the drought on our community, and solutions to the drought.

I think that your survey is really interesting! Have you guys tried advertising your survey in the many student groups on facebook to try and get more responses?
ReplyDeleteYes! We posted on FB, but it is currently being processed by admin.
DeleteI enjoyed taking your survey, the last question i thought was really good, because for my project i am doing climate change, and its true, the drought we are experiencing is a factor of our rapid climate change, although there are many reasons that are causing our climate change but one of the biggest is the lack of snow fall in the sierra mountains. I am actually encountered the same issues, i am struggling to find people to talk to as well.
ReplyDeleteInteresting survey! Maybe you could also ask some questions about the age and/or profession of the survey-taker to see if people learn / hear more about the drought as they get older. Also, maybe you can advertise the fact that you are looking for people to talk about the drought with as well?
ReplyDeleteYour survey is cool; I don't think people pay enough attention to how much water they waste in the home so that is a good one to bring people's attention to. Maybe you guys could interview students around the school and ask them if the drought affects their lives and whether or not they've changed their overall water usage based on the drought.
